Ms. HUANG Qiongru serves as a Mental Health Psychotherapist at Jiahui Health. She gained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of York in the UK, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University in the United States. Qiongru has gained certificates of National (China) Mental Health Counselor and National (China) Psychotherapist, from the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Security and the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China.
Prior to joining Jiahui Health, Qiongru worked in a mental health hospital and gained clinical experiences treating a variety of psychological problems. She has worked at both outpatient and residential settings, with patients with anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, trauma, disordered eating behaviors, adjustment issues, school refusing, and interpersonal issues. Her clients include adolescents, adults, LGBT individuals, and people from diverse cultural background.
Qiongru’s primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and she also integrates strategies of Mindfulness approach, Psycho-education, and Interpersonal approach to best fit the needs of each client. Her clinical interests have focused on anxiety, depression, Eating Disorder, and adolescent school refusing issues.
