Prof. Xu enhanced her endovascular surgery skill in Cardio-vascular Center of University of Leipzig in German in 2007, and then visited Herz-Zentrum Bad Krozingen in German, Dott. Lanfroi Graziani in Italy, Baptist Cardio & Vascular Institute in the US and France as well as Switzerland to specialize in endovascular surgery. She is specialized in peripheral vascular interventional surgery and performed hundreds of surgeries per year. She participated she participated in a large-scale multi-center clinical study in Europe with the honorary invitation.

 
She posted many academic and clinical reviews as the membership of national vascular surgery committees.

She published more than 120 high value publications, and compiles the chapter of vascular surgery in medical textbooks and other clinical educational books.
