Dr. DONG Feng graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University with his bachelor's degree in medicine. After graduation, he worked in Shenyang General Hospital for three years as a physician. He received his Master’ degree of Medicine in Shanghai Second Medical University in 1989. He worked for the same university from 1989 to 1993 as a lecturer after graduation. In 1993, he went to the United States to enter a Ph.D. program in medical sciences in the medical school of University of South Florida. He received his Ph.D. degree in Medical Sciences in 1997. From 1997 to 2002, he was engaged in biomedical research at National Institutes of Health, USA as a Postdoc fellow. From 2002 to 2005, he served as the Preclinical Director and Principal Investigator at the U.S. Naval Medical Research Center. From 2005 to 2009, he was trained as a psychiatrist at St. Elizabeths Hospital, Washington, D.C., USA. From 2009 to 2017, he worked as an attending psychiatrist for St. Elizabeths Hospital. From 2017 to 2022, he joined West Virginia Veterans Hospital as an attending psychiatrist. Dr. Dong holds a physician license from the State of Maryland, a specialist diploma from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. He advocates the concept of precision medicine based on modern science and clinical evidence and provides patients with individualized, dynamic, and comprehensive treatment plans. Dr. Dong specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various mental illnesses, especially schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, insomnia, and drug addiction. Dr. Feng Dong left West Virginia Veterans Hospital in 2022 and returned to Shanghai to join Jiahui health.
