Clinical experience
Dr. LI Tao currently serves as an Andrologist at the Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Center of Jiahui Hospital. He holds a Ph.D. degree. Prior to joining Jiahui Hospital, Dr. Li was affiliated with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University (Red House Hospital), where he developed robust theoretical expertise and accumulated over 30 years of clinical experience in male reproductive and urological medicine. He obtained both his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. During his graduate studies, he received mentorship from renowned urology and male reproductive medicine specialists at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, including Professors Wang Yixin and Huang Yiran, with a research focus on reproductive biology and urology. Following graduation, Dr. Li pursued clinical and research positions at Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital and Tongji Hospital. Between 2009 and 2011, he completed postdoctoral research in urology at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai.
Specializes
Specialize in the treatment of male infertility, including azoospermia, oligospermia, asthenospermia, and teratozoospermia. Proficient in microsurgical procedures pertinent to reproductive andrology, such as vasoepididymostomy (VE), vasovasostomy (VV), varicocelectomy (microsurgical approach), and microdissection testicular sperm extraction (m-TESE); also adept at transurethral aspiration of testicular sperm (TESA) and percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration (PESA). Skilled in performing endoscopic urogenital surgeries, such as ureteroscopy, cystoscopy, and seminal vesiculoscopy. Possess a robust clinical and theoretical foundation in managing male sexual dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE), as well as in the treatment of urogenital infections, particularly chronic prostatitis.
Research Projets and Awards
As the first author or corresponding author, Dr.Li has published more than ten SCI - indexed articles.He conducted postdoctoral research work at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, and the relevant research results were published in the internationally renowned urology journal---the Journal of Urology.
