Dr. LIU Junjun is a multi-site practicing physician at Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital and serves as Deputy Director of the Interventional Vascular Surgery Ward at the First People’s Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He holds a Doctorate in Surgery (Ph.D.), is an Associate Chief Physician, Associate Professor, and Master’s Supervisor.

Dr. LIU graduated from the seven-year clinical medicine program at Qingdao University Medical School in 2009, earning a Master’s degree. In 2018, he completed his Ph.D. at Changhai Hospital, Naval Medical University. His research focuses on clinical and foundational studies of aortic expansion diseases, including the development of endovascular repair devices (bioabsorbable stents, drug-eluting stents) and the regulatory mechanisms of inflammatory responses in aortic dissection.
He has led one National Natural Science Foundation project and one provincial key research grant, participated in six national, military, and Shanghai municipal research projects, obtained nine national invention patents, one software copyright, and published 15 papers in SCI-indexed and core journals (highest single impact factor of 15.8). He has co-authored two medical textbooks and is currently leading a Qingdao Natural Science Foundation project. Trained under renowned vascular surgery expert Prof. Jing Zaiping, Dr. Liu has over a decade of experience in vascular surgery, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins, diabetic foot, lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans, venous thromboembolism, and aortic expansion diseases (aortic dissection, abdominal aortic aneurysm).
