Dr. CHEN Fang is a specially appointed expert in Pediatric Urology at Jiahui Health. He holds the position of Chief Physician (Professional Technical Level II), serves as a Doctoral Supervisor, is a recipient of the State Council Government Special Allowance, and has been recognized as an Outstanding Academic Leader of Shanghai and a Leading Medical Talent of Shanghai[1]. He is the Past President of the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Urologists (APAPU), former Standing Committee Member and former Head of the Urology Group of the Pediatric Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and former Committee Member and former Head of the Pediatric Group of the Urology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. He has previously served as the President of Shanghai Children's Hospital, Deputy Director of Shanghai Hospital Development Center, and Party Secretary of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital.
Dr. CHEN began his undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Medicine at Shanghai First Medical College in 1980. He earned his Master of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Shanghai Second Medical University (now Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) in 1991 and 2004, respectively. Throughout his career, he has been consistently engaged in clinical urology work and academic research. He has led over ten national, ministerial, and municipal-level research projects and has published more than 150 papers. He is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), the European Association of Urology (EAU), and the Society for Pediatric Urology (SPU). He has achieved significant results in the treatment of hydronephrosis and duplex kidney, hypospadias, bladder exstrophy and epispadias, correction of complex genitourinary anomalies including cloacal malformations, research into the genetic mechanisms of these conditions, and the use of tissue engineering technology for organ reconstruction. His awards include the 7th Soong Ching Ling Pediatric Medicine Award, the First Prize of the 5th China Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Award, the Shanghai Children's Work Magnolia Award, and the Second Prize of the China Hospital Science and Technology Innovation Award.
