Dr. LI Dong graduated from the seven-year program at China Medical University with a Master's degree. Afterwards she moved to Japan and holds a Japanese medical license. She completed her residency at Obihiro Hospital in Hokkaido, Japan, and subsequently joined the breast surgery department at Hokkaido University Hospital in April 2020. Dr. Li has extensive experience in breast surgery and general surgery at both Hokkaido University Hospital and its affiliated hospitals. She achieved Board Certified Surgeon status in Japan in September 2023.

Dr. Li specializes in various surgical procedures, including:
- Laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
- Diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, including breast tumor biopsy, sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB), axillary excision, mastectomy, and breast-conserving treatment
- Breast cancer endocrine therapy and chemotherapy, as well as the comprehensive management
