Better health care services will be available for visitors attending the upcoming China International Import Expo kicking off on November 5 in Shanghai.
There will be five medical service centers inside the CIIE venue, which is equipped with six ambulances and 58 automated external defibrillators, or AEDs.
The hospitals designated to service the Expo have expanded from last year’s 18 to 33.
The 33 designated hospitals are leading city and district-level hospitals as well as some specialist medical facilities.
Jiahui International Hospital is the only international hospital on the list. It was also the only international hospital for the first CIIE last year.
The hospital said it has carried out drills in the departments of emergency, call center, urgent surgery, registration, medicine prescription, imaging, testing and multi-department consultation.
A team with 11 foreign doctors and one Chinese doctor are on call.
The hospital has enhanced its bilingual ability in all departments, its officials said.
The Shanghai Health Commission has also reported that health supervision, pest prevention and control, infectious disease monitoring as well as quarantine measures have all been carried out.
