Glaucoma is a “stealthy eye disease leading to blindness” which can occur at any age. Early signs are not obvious, and the disease often reaches a late stage before it is discovered, by which time irreversible damage to vision has already occurred, causing blindness in serious cases. Early diagnosis and treatment is key to preventing risks caused by glaucoma, and having regular glaucoma screening done is crucial. Early checkups and treatment are particularly urgent when vision and field of view is decreasing to avoid missing the optimal time to protect your vision.
