The Department of Hospital Medicine at Jiahui International Hospital is led by a team of multidisciplinary physicians, both international and domestic, and includes a comprehensive service system made up of nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and rehabilitation therapists. The hospitalist physicians in the department have been trained by the Hospitalist Program in the United States and the Jiahui-Renji Hospital Doctor Training Program. They frequently travel to the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University to study the latest medical technology and diagnostic methods.
Our hospitalists provide comprehensive, uninterrupted medical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. They practice evidence-based medicine, drawing on their comprehensive professional knowledge and years of clinical experience, and combine the latest multi-disciplinary standards and cutting-edge treatment methods to provide outstanding hospital care services.
With fully integrated specialist resources our hospitalists are able to coordinate multidisciplinary consultations, diagnoses, treatments and procedures, including preoperative evaluation and postoperative care. The department provides not only health assessment and medical support for inpatients but also highly personalized hospital care, with a focus on the diagnosis of increasingly complex diseases.
Due to its unique international makeup, Jiahui’s team of hospitalists can cater to a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, always establishing communication based on trust and care with their patients.
The Department of Hospital Medicine provides services to patients with conditions (including but not limited to):

Dr. Bian obtained her Master Degree from Tongji University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Jiahui Health, she completed her residency training at Shanghai East Hospital affiliated to Tongji University. Then Dr. Bian went on to complete extensive work in the Department of Echocardiography. She is a Cadiac Sonographer with seven years of clinical experience. She is skilled in ultrasonic diagnosis of heart diseases including valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, cardiac tumor, aortic disease, peripheral vascular disease and Point of Care ultrasound. In 2017, Dr. Bian joined Jiahui as a fellow of “Renji - Jiahui Hospitalist training program”. During the two years, she focused on learning of patient-centered care, evidence-based medicine, medical safety and quality in the inpatient setting.

Upon completing her studies in Clinical Medicine and obtaining a Master’s Degree in Geriatrics at the Shanghai Medical College of Jiaotong University, Dr. Zhao went on to complete residency training in the Department of Emergency and ICU at Huashan Hospital in 2012. She worked as an attending physician at Huashan Hospital North until 2017. Dr. Zhao has gained rich clinical experience through seven years of clinical work in Geriatric Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She is especially skilled in early prevention and comprehensive treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and the treatment of various conditions in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. In 2017, Dr. Zhao trained as a hospitalist on the Jiahui-Renji Hospitalist Fellow training program. In 2018, she went to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and Hospital Medicine Department for observation and was involved in providing anti-PD-1 immunotherapy. Dr. Zhao strives to provide high-quality, efficient, and personalized medical services.
Irene WANG, MD

She graduated in 2011 from China Medical University and received a Master's degree in Internal Medicine. She joined in Shanghai standardized residency training in internal medicine at Shanghai Tongji Hospital. Before joining Jiahui International Hospital, she served in the endocrinology department of Shanghai No.6 People's Hospital where she rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing common and critical patients with endocrinology diseases. She joined Jiahui in 2016 where she trained as a hospitalist, travelling to Massachusetts General Hospital for further study. She is experienced in the management of common internal medicine diseases with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of common endocrine diseases.
Dr. Wang is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Ashley ZHANG, MD

Prior to joining Jiahui, she worked on cardiology team at Fudan University Minhang Hospital in 2013-2015, passed the US Medical License Exam and completed one-year international physician exchange in the US in 2016-2020. Dr. Li joined Jiahui as a fellow of “Renji - Jiahui Hospitalist training program”. During the two years, she focused on learning of patient-centered care, evidence-based medicine, medical safety and quality in the inpatient setting. Dr. Li is familiar with internal medicine, pain management, and perioperative care. She has dedicated her work to patience-centered care in the setting of multicultural.
Dr. Li is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by American Heart Association (AHA).
Hanna HAN, MD, PhD

Tracy LIU, MD

Then he worked as a researcher in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine. During his study in the United States, he worked as a part-time intern at St. Mary's Hospital Department of Neurology in St. Louis. After returning to China in 2017, during a total of 6 years, Dr. LIU completed the standardized residency training program for Internal Medicine at Fujian Union Hospital and continued his clinical serving as an internal medicine physician. In 2023, he joined the Jiahui Hospitalist training program and became a member of the Hospitalist team. Dr. LIU is specialized in diagnosis and treatment of common internal medicine diseases and follows the concept of evidence-based medicine. He believes that love is the foundation of medicine, and takes saving more lives as a lifelong goal.
Dr. LIU is also certified in Basic Life Support by American Heart Association (AHA).
