Jiahui International Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is ready to take care of newborns who encounter setbacks and complications at birth, such as preterm birth or difficulty breathing. We are able to support and stabilize infants in need of intensive care so that they can receive the best possible start to life and return to their parents healthy and happy.
Our NICU doctors are carefully selected, having gathered many years of experience at the top three hospitals in China. They are also supported by the Neonatal department at Fudan University Children's Hospital, the strongest neonatal team in China. Our neonatal nurses have extensive experience in neonatal care and general nursing, and have all received professional nursing training overseas.
Medical services available at our neonatal intensive care unit 24/7 include:
· Life support for various high-risk newborns, such as infants whose mothers:
-have gestational diabetes
-have severe pregnancy-induced hypertension
-have severe anemia
-have heart disease
-have hyperthyroidism· Critical care and treatment of premature infants and very low birth weight infants, including noninvasive and invasive respiratory support and intravenous nutrition for critical conditions caused by oxygen deprivation
· Neonatal jaundice phototherapy and blood exchange therapy
· Airway treatment for respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)
· Treatment of infectious diseases, including intrauterine infection, neonatal pneumonia, neonatal urinary tract infection, neonatal meningitis, etc.
· Intensive care treatment of intracranial hemorrhage, brain injury, etc.
· Neonatal perioperative examination and postoperative intensive care
· Bedside ultrasound and echo test, MRI, PICC, ventilator therapy, umbilical artery and vein catheterization, genetic metabolism screening and diagnosis
· Long-term follow up and early intervention of high-risk infants and premature infants

Dr. Hu received her bachelor degree of Pediatrics from China Medical University in 2001 and her Doctoral Degree in Pediatrics from Fudan University in 2007. In 2008, she worked in the NICU of the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) in Toronto, Canada, and completed the neonatology fellowship training. Then she came back and worked as a neonatologist at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University.
Since 2017, she has served as the academic director of Pediatric Medical Union of Children’s Hospital of Fudan University. Dr. Hu has more than 10 years of neonatal clinical experience and fellowship training experience. She is good at intensive care for newborns in critical condition, premature babies’ nutrition, premature babies’ brain development assessment and neonatal bedside cranial ultrasound technology. Dr. Hu’s research interests include brain injury in premature babies, cerebral protection strategy for extremely low and very low birth weight infants, and central nervous system infection in newborns.

After receiving her medical degree from the Xi’an Jiaotong University College of Medicine, Dr. Cai worked in the Pediatrics and Neonatal Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Medical University for more than 20 years, engaging in clinical work and teaching. In 2011 she received advanced respiratory therapy training at Weber State University in the United States and in 2012 attended the yearlong international training program for Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine in Fudan Childen’s Hospital in Shanghai, conducted by Canadian experts. In 2015 she completed her NICU fellowship training in Kingston General Hospital in Canada. The following year she studied in the catheter lab of the Pediatric Heart Center of Justus Liebig University in Giessen Germany. Prior to joining Jiahui Health, she worked in the Neonatal Department at the American-Sino Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Cai has accumulated extensive clinical expertise through her more than 20 years of clinical experience in pediatrics and neonatology. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS).License no. :110610000004884

She graduated from Chongqing Medical University in 2007 with a master's degree in pediatrics, majoring in neonatology. Prior to joining, Dr. Wen worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Quanzhou Children's Hospital, the children's hospital in Fujian Province and was the Director of Neonatology Department in a grade 3A General Hospital in Chongqing (affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University).
She involved in various pediatric clinical teaching and scientific research for 14 years. Her strength of sub-specialties are treatment of newborns including critical care, newborn screening and follow-up high-risk infants. Dr. Wen continue to excel and is the present Chongqing Maternal and Child Healthcare Association Newborn Healthcare Professional Committee member and Chongqing Medical Association Perinatal Medical Specialist.
She is also the Committee Member of Neonatal Resuscitation Group, Committee Member of Neonatal Group of Pediatrics Branch of Chongqing Medical Association, Asia Pacific Health Association APHA, member of Critical Ultrasound Medical Professional Committee of Pediatric Medical Association, member of Neonatal Evidence-based Medicine Group of Cross-strait Medical and Health Exchange Association.
