    • Dementia is a disorder that is characterized by a decline in cognition involving one or more cognitive domains (learning and memory, language, executive function, complex attention, perceptual-motor, social cognition). As the population ages, the overall burden of dementia is increasing worldwide. It not only endangers the physical and mental health and quality of life of the elderly, but also brings a heavy burden to the family and society.

The serious fact is that most people believes that dementia is a geriatric disease, occurred typically in people over 65 years, but recent studies have found that some youth also have symptoms such as memory loss and cognitive impairment. And some diseases occur faster than the common Alzheimer's disease, known as early-onset dementia.

    • Cognitive impairment involves memory, learning, orientation, understanding, judgment, calculation, language, visual-spatial function, analysis and problem-solving ability, which is often accompanied by mental, behavioral and personality disorders at a certain stage of the disease. Common symptoms include:

      •Forgetfulness

•Decreased ability of daily activity, such as getting lost in familiar places or repeating questions.

•Handling complex tasks such as balancing a checkbook

•It is difficult to accomplish familiar tasks at home, at work, or at leisure.

      •Decreased judgment.

•Put something in a wrong place and can't find it.

•A change in mood, personality, or behavior.

    • So far, there is no drug that can completely cure dementia. But the progress of the disease could be controlled through early detection, diagnosis and intervention. Finally, it can prolong the course of disease, improve the quality of life, reduce the suffering of patients, and reduce the burden of family and society.

The Cognitive impairment Clinic provides cognitive function tests, physical examination of nervous system, laboratory examination and imaging examination according to the condition of patients, as well as preferential cognitive function assessment package. The goal is to provide a best treatment plan through figure out the cause, determine the severity.
