Vertigo is one of the most common clinical symptoms. Most people have experienced dizziness or vertigo during their lifetime. Vertigo is an illusion of motion, patient may have a feeling of spinning/swaying of the environment or self-spinning. Common as vertigo occurs, the causes are very complex and diverse though, involving many specialties including otolaryngology, neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, and psychiatry. As a result, vertigo patients usually end up seeing multiple specialties and taking various tests without getting any conclusion of the root cause of their problems.

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo Syncope (Fainting) Through a set of standardized and comprehensive assessments and relevant precise tests, Dr. Li can provide clearly diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the following vertigos: central vertigo, vestibular peripheral vertigo such as BPPV (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), vestibular neuritis, Meniere's disease etc., psychogenic vertigo and other systemic disorders relevant vertigo, and develop an appropriate treatment plan for the patients. Dr. LI obtained his Master Degree in clinical medicine from the Second Military Medical University of Shanghai. He completed his residency in internal medicine and neurology at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. Prior to joining Jiahui, Dr. LI worked in the neurology department of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital and Tongji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Tongji University. For the good performance he graduated early from the Renji-Jiahui Hospitalist and Nursing Residents Training Program. Dr. LI has a rich experience in internal medicine, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of vertigo, headaches, and prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular disease.
He has the teaching experience for clinical medicine students and the residents in the standardized training program. He is currently a youth committee member of the Vestibular Disorders Committee of China Medicine Education Association.
