Since 1985, Dr. Allen WU has been engaged in orthopedics for more than 30 years. He is one of the pioneers of modern arthroscopic surgery and artificial joint surgery in China. He edited and published the first batch of books on joint surgery in China, including Arthroscopic Surgery of the Knee and Knee Arthroplasty: Primary and Revision Surgery. He completes hundreds of arthroscopic and artificial joint replacement and revision surgeries every year. Dr. Wu specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoarticular and muscular system diseases and injuries. He is good at conservative and surgical treatment of sports injuries and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. He has nearly three decades year of experience in joint replacement and revision surgery.

He is also the editor in chief of the Knee Surgery, Knee Arthroscopy, Meniscus Surgery and Tissue Engineering Reconstruction and other books. Dr. Wu actively promotes the academic exchange in international societies among well-known orthopedic centers.
Tim XIA, MD
Dr. Tim XIA is currently an orthopedic surgeon at Jiahui Health. Dr. Xia graduated from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. He majored in clinical medicine and received Master Degree of Clinical Medicine. After graduation he worked in the Orthopedic Department of Shanghai General Hospital for more than ten years. During this period, he gained clinical skills through dealing with common orthopedic injuries and diseases. Dr. Xia specializes in spinal surgery, and is good at the diagnosis and treatment of various cervical and lumbar diseases. He is able to carry out percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic surgery, minimally invasive lumbar fusion, cervical foraminotomy, percutaneous vertebral augumentation, and other minimally spinal surgeries, and he is also skilled in diagnostic spine puncture and therapeutic spinal injections. Dr. Xia has been to the Swedish Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic as a visiting scholarship for learning surgical techniques in advanced minimally invasive spine surgery.
He has published more than 10 articles in domestic and international academic journals and participated in translation of 3 academic books, and has 6 patents authorized. He serves as a youth member of China Association of Rehabilitation for Disabled Persons, and a committee member of minimally invasive orthopedics society of Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Xia is enthusiastic about public welfare. He often participates in community health education, as well as health support. He is also keen on sharing the public of health knowledge. His own WeChat public account has been adopted as a member of China Medical We-media Association.

Candice YANG, PT, MSc

Candice YANG, Physical Therapist. She graduated from Wenzhou Medical University and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Therapy in 2013. She got her Master's degree in Sports Medicine and Health Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2017. Before joining Jiahui, she completed physical therapy training program on orthopedic rehab and sports injuries in Karolinska Institute (KI) in Stockholm, Sweden. She got certified on Manual Lymphedema Drainage (MLD) by Dr. Vodder Akademie in 2018 and joined Lymphedema training program in the cancer center of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) the year after. In 2021, she had her International Lymphedema Therapist Certification authorized by Casley-Smith, Australia.
In the past 10 years above, she provided onsite medial support for various international competitions such as ATP Rolex Shanghai Masters, Shanghai International Track and Field Diamond League and Hong Kong Football Club Rugby 10’s. She also dedicated to medical popularization and publicity, participated in the compilation and publication of a number of professional books. She was named as the “New Celebrity” of Shanghai Sports and Health Science Popularization in 2023.
Candice specializes in various orthopedic and tumor post-operative rehabilitation, including but not limited to: fracture, rotator cuff injury, ACL reconstruction, meniscus injury, Achilles tendon rupture, axillary web syndrome, lymphedema, postoperative scar adhesion, etc. In addition, she has rich clinical experience in spine disorders caused by poor posture in office workers and performance enhancement for sports people.

Jason ZHANG, MD, PhD
Dr. Jason Zhang is an Interventional Radiologist in Ultrasound of Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital. He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from China Medical University, and his Doctor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He had been working in the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University and the Sixth People's Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 2014, he worked as a visiting scholar at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands for one year. Prof. Dr. Ricardo Bastos, is an internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical, academic, and research experience, dedicated to delivering advanced, evidence-based, and patient-centered care in knee surgery.
Dr. Ricardo graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where he also completed his residency in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. He later earned a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences through an international academic pathway involving Universidade Federal Fluminense, in Brazil, and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in France.

Dr. Ricardo also gained important international research experience at Imperial College London, in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a researcher in the Department of Biomechanics. There, he contributed to the development of pioneering surgical techniques for knee ligament reconstruction, reinforcing his expertise in advanced knee biomechanics, reconstructive surgery, and innovation in orthopaedic treatment.
