The Department of Nutrition provides comprehensive and personalized nutrition consultation services for both inpatients and outpatients. Our clinical dietitians have extensive experience and a broad knowledge base, providing high-quality nutritional services, to taking care of your health, and supporting you in establishing and reaching your personal nutritional goals.
Inpatient Services
Good nutrition is essential for recovering from surgery or illness. The Department of Nutrition provides nutrition assessments, advice, and education to patients and their families both while patients are hospitalized and upon discharge. Our clinical dietitians work with the patient’s multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive nutritional advice and education regarding dietary modifications prescribed by patients’ physicians.
In line with the World Health Organization’s Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) guidelines, our dietitians work closely with the nutrition kitchen team members to design and create tasty, healthy, and environmentally friendly recipes and menus, ensuring the best nutritional support for all patients.
Outpatient Services
Our clinical dietitians aim to raise awareness among the general public regarding healthy eating habits. Our aim is to assist a diverse range of people with managing specific dietary needs, including people of different age groups, people with diabetes or cancer, people struggling with being overweight or obese, children, pregnant women, etc.
We also provide one-on-one nutrition counseling and education focused on leading a healthy lifestyle. This is offered through group classes that are now available at Jiahui International Hospital and Jiahui Health Clinics.

She is a registered dietician in China and is a clinical dietician from China’s Ministry of Health, as well as a member of both the Chinese Nutrition Society and the Shanghai Nutrition Society. She has a master's degree in Public Administration, and during her more than 15 years of clinical work, she has served as a board member of the Capital Healthcare and Nutrition Cuisine Society, and a member of the Catering Committee of the Chinese Aging Well Association. She has provided clinical nutritional support for chronic diseases, perioperative management, weight management, pregnancy nutrition, etc. Helen is specialized in nutrition management throughout all stages of life, providing personalized dietary guidance for pregnancy, children, and aging period.
