    • Gastrointestinal carcinoma, such as esophageal cancer, Gastric cancer, and Colon cancer, is most commonly seen in clinical setting. According to recent data, there are one third of Gastric cancer patients resource are in China. 3,760,000 patients are newly diagnosed with colon cancer annually in China; about 1,910,000 people die from Colon cancer every year¹. (Jemal & Bray, 2011) Meanwhile, most Gastrointestinal carcinoma are diagnosed in the final stage in China because people don’t have the concept that it is necessary to routinely do GI endoscopy screening over 45 years old, especially for those people who have family history of cancer. Thus, 5-year colonic cancer survival rate and quality of life after treatment are comparatively lower in China² than other developed countries in the world.

95% of Colon Cancer were slowly transformed from benign colonic polyp during 5-10 years’ time. ( Heitman, Ronksley & Hilsden, 2009)³ It’s really difficult to find or diagnose early colonic cancer since there hardly have clinical symptoms, which is why the incidence of GI carcinoma is constantly high. Regular Endoscopy screening health check can effectively prevent colon cancer by block the progress of polyp deterioration. Endoscopy screening is of great importance that it provides us chance to detect early colon cancer and to better treat and cure colon cancer.
