Dr. ZHANG Jiwei is is currently the specially-invited consultant of General Surgery Department of Jiahui Health. He is the former Executive Director of Vascular Surgery, Chief Surgeon, master tutor, Renji Hospital Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. He is a member and consultant of Vascular Surgery Group, Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association; Vice Chairman of the Professional Committee of Peripheral Vascular Disease, Chinese Association of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine; Standing member and consultant of Vascular Surgeons Committee, Surgeons Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Consultant of the National Committee of Cardiovascular Specialists Vascular Surgery Specialty Committee.
He won the third prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Health and the State Education Commission, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Shanghai and the third prize of Medical Science and Technology of Shanghai. He studied Vascular Surgery at Yamagata University School of Medicine in Japan, HARTFORD Hospital in the United States and LEIPZIG Cardiovascular Center in Germany. He has supervised more than 20 master's students in Vascular Surgery and assisted 10 doctoral students. He is the editorial board member and review expert of 6 journals, including Chinese Journal of Surgery, Chinese Journal of Practical Surgery, Chinese Journal of Radiological Intervention and Chinese Journal of Vascular Surgery.
With nearly 40 years of surgical experience, Dr. Zhang has successfully implemented tens of thousands of vascular open surgery and vascular interventional therapy. He mainly focuses on abdominal aortic, visceral, limb aneurysms, inferior vena cava and posterior peritoneal tumors, carotid and peripheral atherosclerotic stenosis and occlusion, vasculitis, diabetic foot, lower limb varicose veins, chronic limb ulcers, deep vein thrombosis, complex vascular malformations and minimally invasive treatment, as well as chronic renal insufficiency arteriovenous fistula establishment and obstruction rereconstruction surgery.
