The Urology Department at Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital is composed of a team with deep clinical experience, providing screening, diagnosis, minimally invasive surgery, and multidisciplinary combined treatment for patients with benign and cancerous diseases of the urinary system.
The Department offers diagnosis and treatment for the male and female urinary systems, male reproductive organs, and other related disorders.
Jiahui’s Department of Urology offers solutions for a range of urinary system disorders, including kidney stones, urinary incontinence, cancer treatment, rehabilitation of male sexual function, etc.Advanced equipment
Jiahui’s Urology Department is fitted with a variety of advanced equipment to provide international-standard diagnosis and treatment services:
• Rezum water vapor therapy:
The Rezum system uses a disposable water vapor ablation catheter for same-day procedures. Sterilized water vapor, with a temperature of 103°C, is injected into the prostate tissue, increasing the temperature of the surrounding tissue to approximately 70°C for each 9-second treatment session, immediately killing the targeted cells.
• Low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy:
Low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (Li-ESWT) or low-energy extracorporeal shock wave therapy is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is improved by enhancing microvascular circulation, promoting endothelial cell regeneration, promoting the formation of new blood vessels, stimulating nerve regeneration, regulating vasodilation, and activating stem cells.
• Holmium laser:
The holmium laser is a high-energy pulsed laser, that uses the absorption of laser energy by water to vaporize stones in the urethra. This allows for the layer-by-layer removal of stones from the urinary system.
• Urodynamic equipment:
Urodynamic examinations use electrophysiological methods and sensor technology to study the physiological processes of urine storage and urination. The equipment identifies dysfunction, which can be used to diagnose patients with urinary incontinence or other lower urinary tract symptoms. The equipment can be used for both men and women.
• Color Doppler ultrasound:
Predominantly used for imaging of the abdomen, heart, and superficial organs. Prostate biopsies can be conducted under the guidance of ultrasound to detect and evaluate prostate cancer.
If you have more questions, please scan the QR code below.· Urinary dysfunction: Cystitis, dysuria, slow urine flow, dribbling, frequent urination, increased urgency when urinating, nocturia, urinary leakage, urethritis, urethral stricture, etc.

Urinary calculi are solid particles in the urinary system. They are one of the most common disorders within the field of urology. We offer one-stop comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans for patients with urinary calculi, including urinalysis; kidney, ureter, and bladder X-ray contrasts; ultrasonography; blood tests for kidney function, uric acid, calcium, and phosphorus; ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy; percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PCNL); and other surgical treatment options.
• Prostate diseases
Prostate diseases are commonly and frequently experienced by men, including prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostate cancer. We provide comprehensive assessments and individualized treatment plans for patients with lower urinary tract symptoms suspected of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer, including conducting the international prostate symptom score; prostate health index (PHI) examinations; prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests; kidney function blood tests; urodynamic measurements, kidney, bladder, and prostate ultrasounds; transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies; Rezūm water vapor therapy; urethral lift procedure (UroLift); transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP); and other surgical treatment options.
• Urinary tract cancers
We offer various examinations for patients suspected of having bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and other urinary system cancers. This includes ultrasounds; CT scans; MRIs; needle biopsies; narrow band imaging (NBI) cystoscopies; adrenal vein sampling (AVS); transurethral removal of bladder tumors; focal treatment of prostate cancer; laparoscopic partial nephrectomy; laparoscopic radical resection of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer; radiotherapy; and other medical treatments, such as endocrine therapy, chemotherapy, targeted and immunotherapy.
• Men's health
When men reach the age of 40, testosterone levels may decline which leads to a series of symptoms such as fatigue, hypogonadism, insomnia, irritability, and memory loss. After the age of 60, men’s basal metabolic rate decreases by about 0.7% per year, and the skeletal muscle content decreases by about 0.6% per year. According to statistics, the prevalence of erectile dysfunction in adult males is as high as 50%. Over and above this, 50% of men over 50 years old, and 80% of men over 80 years old, are affected by benign prostatic hyperplasia. We provide a range of comprehensive services focused on men’s health, including erectile function assessments, blood flow monitoring and assessments, sex hormone adjustment and replacement therapy, low-energy shock wave therapy, penile implants, etc.
