1-A government-designated vaccine site
The Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council announced on March 29, 2021, that Shanghai would begin allowing foreigners in the appropriate age range to receive domestically-developed COVID-19 vaccinations on the basis that they are informed, voluntary and willing to be inoculated at their own costs and bear corresponding risks.
But, while there is strong demand for the COVID-19 vaccine among foreigners, many found it difficult to secure an appointment.
Designating the hospital as a vaccination site specifically for foreigners aims at a smoother and more efficient rollout of the jab to the foreign community [1].
Thankfully, Jiahui International Hospital has become a designated COVID-19 vaccination site for foreigners in Shanghai, recognized by the Municipal Health Commission and Xuhui District Health Commission.
